Helen attended the Americans for Prosperity Summit held in Washington, DC recently. Check out what she experienced, including the speeches of seven presidential candidates! Click on 'here' in the fourth paragraph below.....

Defending the American Dream Summit: The Aftermath Wow.  It's taken us every bit of the three-day weekend to catch our breath after last week's Defending the American Dream Summit rocked Washington.

But now that the smoke has cleared, it's hopefully more evident to Washington insiders that there is a massive and growing movement in support of spending restraint and free-market solutions.

Upwards of 2,000 grassroots taxpayers took time out of their busy lives to make  their voices heard loudly and clearly on Capitol Hill and in the overflowing Mayflower Hotel last week.  Elected officials who will be considering whether to expand government-run health-care programs, to raise taxes or to continue runaway pork-barrel politics would be wise to make note of the size and energy of last week's massive crowd.

If you missed the show, you can watch most - and soon all -- of the major addresses here , and catch up on the media coverage here.

In the meantime, we want to deliver a heart-felt Thank You! to everybody who helped make the Summit a tremendous success -- our staff spread across our 20 state chapters, our co-sponsors, our friends on Capitol Hill, and most importantly, the nearly 2,000 grassroots taxpayers who made the trip to Washington and made sure the voice of fiscal conservatism was heard for a change.
